Imaging Services in Delano

3D mammography

3D mammograms produce better-quality images than conventional mammography. This helps our radiologists provide a more precise diagnosis. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, the type of 3D mammography Quest Imaging offers has proven to be 41 percent more effective at detecting breast cancer than conventional 2D mammography alone.

CT (CAT) scan

CT technology creates images from inside the body that help to diagnose issues such as broken bones, cancer, blood clots, abdominal problems and internal bleeding. Our state-of-the-art, 64-slice low-radiation CT machine automatically limits the amount of radiation required to produce high-quality images for each patient’s body type.

MRI

MRI uses a large magnet and radio waves — but no radiation — to make detailed images that show the differences between healthy and unhealthy tissue. It’s used for such tasks as diagnosing torn ligaments, tumors, and brain and spinal cord conditions, as well as for examining organs.

Nuclear medicine

A nuclear medicine exam uses radioactive substances and a special camera to look at the lungs and other organs. The exam helps to diagnose such issues as blood clots, cancer, heart disease, injuries, infections and thyroid problems. Quest Imaging in Delano offers a range of advanced nuclear medicine studies.

Ultrasound

As the name implies, ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the inside of the body. It can be used to diagnose conditions of the heart, blood vessels, kidneys, liver and other organs and parts of the body.

DEXA scan

DEXA is a specialized, very low-dose X-ray that helps physicians diagnose osteoporosis and risk of bone fracture, as well as determining body composition. This quick procedure is especially helpful for older adults who are concerned about bone loss.

X-ray

X-rays help to diagnose a very broad range of medical and health issues, including broken bones, pneumonia and digestive issues. Quest Imaging’s all-digital X-ray devices result in quicker turnaround times and better diagnosis, while eliminating the risk of lost film.

Fluoroscopy

Fluoroscopy is like an X-ray “movie” that provides real-time, moving images from inside the body, such as the stomach, small intestines or colon. During your fluoroscopy exam, a substance called contrast helps your physician see the details in the area of concern.

Interventional radiology

Interventional radiology uses X-ray-guided imaging to perform minimally invasive procedures that once required surgery. Most of these procedures can be done in an outpatient setting without general anesthesia — which means patients typically go home the same day and recover faster than they would with full surgery.
